Hypnotherapy, or hypnosis, is a deep state of relaxation where we can create a heightened focused awareness in order to make desired behavioural changes and resets.
Hypnotherapy is a skilled communication aimed at directing a person's imagination in a way that helps elicit changes in some perceptions, sensations, feelings, thoughts and behaviours.
The hypnotherapist will ask questions about previous treatments, medical history, and general health and lifestyle to decide on the best approach for the client.
Hypnotherapy may be found to be helpful for those seeking relief from a range of problems and is used alongside a client's own desire for change and motivation to reach a desired goal.
In a typical consultation hypnotherapy session, the hypnotherapist and client will discuss the intended changes and therapeutic goals that are desired. The therapist will answer any questions the client may have and talk through a treatment plan. The therapist will end the consultation with a mini relaxing hypnosis session.
It is impossible to say before the initial consultation. It really all depends on the issue that needs resolving, and addressing anything else that may come to light which could cause a barrier to the targeted treatment. The hypnotherapist, along with their client, will discuss and tailor a treatment plan together during their initial consultation, however, typically, 2-4 sessions are commonplace.
By paying before each session, the client shows that they are fully motivated and invested in themselves, and committed to be proactive in taking exciting steps towards change.
